On April 20, 2015 Mayor of Moscow Sergei Sobyanin, accompanied by deputy of Mayor for urban policy and construction Marat Khusnullin, President of PFC CSKA Yevgeny Giner and the CEO of the PFC Roman Babaev, visited the construction site of the CSCA football stadium, located at 3-rd Peschanaya Str, estate 2, to assess the progress of construction work.
The Mayor inspected the Southern grand stand and interiors. "There is a number major sports facilities being constructed in Moscow during the last two years. The Rrowing channel at Krylatskoye, reconstruction of "Luzhniki" stadium, new stadium for "Spartak" FC, reconstruction of Dynamo" stadium, and construction of this object, built instead of the old stadium (which operated since 1961). Here we are going to see one of the best sports complexes in Moscow. I hope that most workflow is to be completed later this year, and the stadium will be fully operational from the first months of 2016" - commented Sergey Sobyanin.
Current works include construction of the office tower and hotel building, laying of the internal engineering systems and communications. As of now construction and installation works are already finished at the Southern, Western and Easterm grand stands, Southeast housing and remote parking. Soon the construction of entrance and works on the football field are about to start.
Since 2012 ZAO General Directorate Centre provides a technical customer functions, including construction control and financial supervision of the project, named "CSKA football stadium with a multifunctional complex of offices and a hotel".
