Opening new stretches of the North-Easten Road
The Mayor of Moscow, Sergei Sobyanin, opened two straight-line sections on September, 4th and 5th 2018: the North-Easten Road from Entuziastov Highway to the Moscow Ring Road (6 km in length and 238,761 sq.m in area) and from Festivalnaya Str. to Dmitrovskoye Highway (5 km long and 167,000 sq. m).
The head of the city called this fact a great event for the entire road infrastructure of the capital. The commission of new sites of roads means that two-thirds of the North-Easten Road have been completed.
The mayor stressed that the project's complexity was that the route runs close to residential buildings, communications, along the railways of the October Railway.
Eight civil engineering works have been completed within the site - seven overpasses and the bridge across the Likhoborka River. Number of lanes varies from three to four in each direction.
